Asya represents the new generation of the Russian classical guitarists. She was born in Moscow and began to play guitar at the age of nine. at a very early age she decided to devote her live to the guitar and to pursue a career as a professional musician. Selyutina continued her guitar studies at the Alfred Schnittke Musical College in the State Classical Academy, which she graduated from last year. She is currently taking a post-graduated course at the Academy.Selyutina was among the winners in several international guitar competitions, including Belgorod, Voronezh, Saint-Petersburg (Russia) and Arhanes (Greece). Besides from taking part in the musical contests, Selyutina is a very active performer, and appears in concerts as a soloist and also as the first guitar of "Moscow Guitar Duo"(her duo partner is young Russian guitarist Anna Inozemtseva).
