Albert and Alberta

Albert is a canary who is lovesick. Albert lives in a cage in the little boy, John’s house. One day John catches a canary in the garden and puts it in Albert’s cage. But it turns out that the bird is ill, and they have to take it to the vet. John is very sad because the canary has to be put to sleep. His father suggests that they buy a new friend for Albert. At first John does not like the idea. But having thought about how lonely you can feel he agrees to go with his father to the pet shop and buy a new canary.
