

Laura is an independent recording artist, performing singer-songwriter, graphic designer, entrepreneur, and acoustic music presenter. Known for her warm, powerful and versatile smoky alto voice, she takes her listeners on journeys through folk-roots, bluegrass to sultry jazz standards.
Born in Kingston, Ontario and growing up in the 1000 Islands, Laura now resides in the town of Orangeville, Ontario. Her songwriting is strongly influenced from her years growing up along the St. Lawrence River. Vignettes of childhood small town life, struggles and triumphs, dreams and desires are all common threads running through Laura's lyrical fabric.
In addition to her work as Artistic Director of the Headwaters Acoustic Music Society in Orangeville, Laura is also a board member with the ArtsCan Circle group, co-founder of the Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award and serves on the Board of Directors with the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals organization.
